this board comes with aluminium frame, which is much better and sturdy then wooden frame, at this price, most other options are only wooden frame installation was easy, i like the way that the 4 screws hidden under the corner covers, looks very professional, also the board is very lightweight, i can finish the whole installation by myself the board is big enough to pin 8 A4 papers side by side, that i can pin some important document and memo to it, as well as my daughter’s artwork however, more and more holes will left on the board surface after days of use, reused pin hole is a bit loosen and cannot hole the pin well

I've purchased a number of pinboards recently from different suppliers. All of them including this one appear to be thin cork glued to cardboard rather than the thicker fibreboard that was used 'back in the day' but of the ones I've tried this isn't too bad. This board fixes with concealed screws at the corners, which is ideal if you want a permanent fixing and the aluminium frame is robust enough, if you are happy giving Amazon free advertising due to their attached logo.

Using it to hold a map so i can plot my travels. The pins go into the cork easily and because i won't be taking them in and out, the cork won't need to 'self heal' (but it did do when I tested it)

Firstly let me comment on the packaging. It was so securely packaged that even if it were to be dropped from an airplane, I doubt anything would happen to the board inside. The item comes with instructions to fit, as well as the screws, plus, and pins to attach to the wall. They are clear and easy to follow, and with the fixings given, make the installation process a breeze. (Note: You will require a drill, and a spirit level). The board and frame are of high quality and it looks great in my study. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for one.

I cannot say I m happy with the product quality. I can feel how thin the corkboard layer is, when piercing with the pins. And the holes are there forever, so it is not a self-healing cork. I expected more, because this is not the cheapest corkboard. The frame quality is decent. Super lightweight, so does not feel like a high quality product.
